we're baaaaaack!!!

It's safe to say we had an UH-MAZING time in Mexico

  • I got on stage for "finish that lyric" (but sorely lost to some lame 80's rock song that i had no idea how it ended. whatev)
  • husband participated in the belly flop contest and the battle of the sexes
  • we rocked the guys in shuffle board
  • I killed taylor in ping pong
  • & won a 100 bucks @ black jack (also caught dad in the action. guilty as charged)

  • Husband and i not only won the audiences approval, but got onto the Love and Marriage game show and WON!! won a big HUGE bottle of wine. perfect. (plus other Royal Caribbean crap)

little did we know this game show would lead us to Royal Caribbean stardom! literally. a little girl was almost in tears when she saw jared in person. her dad even had to ask us if she could shake THE jared alder's hand. i thought she was going to pee her pants.
Yes. you didn't know i was married to a genius, the future president AND a celebrity!
there was no walking onto an elevator, a stairway, or any room without someone shouting "its jared and becca from TV!!", or "you guys were amazing on the show" or "hey, have you done it on the balcony yet?" (guess you had to be there for that one)

  • we scuba dived in Cabo where i almost threw up when a sea lion got dangerously close to me. and i somehow managed to acquire a perfectly round red bruise on the tip of my nose. neither husband or my brother chose to inform me about this but decided to wait for me to see it for myself. in the ladies room. over an hour after our dive! real nice guys. it didn't go away for several days. rudolph was the name of choice for the rest of the week.
{look closely at the nose}

  • we took extremely awkward photos (that deserves a post all on its own)
  • we rode scooters in Mazatlan where i quickly learned that Dad belongs no where near a scooter and he is one fast son-of-a-gun

  • we did a zip line in Puerto Vallarta, where again, dad was one fast son-of-a-gun. and i may or may not be dreaming of Paublo from here on out. mom felt the same way.

{doesnt dad looked thrilled to be doing this?}

  • i danced like a fool to win a free mini facial (which totally sucked by the way) but its clear i am willing to embarrass myself for pretty much anything.

the parents were disgusted in our wasteful habits of food and tried to push their values on their ungrateful children.
by the second night they were ordering 3 appetizers, 2 entrees and far too many desserts.
we won!

i have now witnessed that dad REALLY DOES survive off of pepsi and fruit loops. he is a medical marvel! and forcing him to be on a boat with us for an entire week didn't stop him from being antisocial. we love you dad!

and one of the many joys of cruises are the little surprises we find in our room each night!
i brought work out clothes but didnt work out.
i ate everything in site. twice
i gained 3 lbs
i would say a pretty successful cruise!

Why did you ever come home?! You have convinced me to go on a cruise but you and Jared will have to join us.
